I have made the decision not to waste our admins time any more with harassing e-mails from people, who have no intention of being productive members of this forum, abusing our good nature with abusive amounts of attempts to join this group for no other reason than to spam us.

As of today all new membership sign ups are Disabled.

Only our current members will be able to enjoy the friendly forum banter we now enjoy.

Further all IPs and the IP ranges of these people, far too many of them to name here, have been permanently Banned. The ISPs involved will be notified of the reasons for this and asked to take action against the abusers. Russia has reportedly spent $5.5 million in combating spam out there, let's see if they are truly serious about this problem.

I should just like to say thank-you. You have done a wonderful job by stopping these ficticious messages from appearing on this site.
A few weeks ago, every week end when the mods were nor about the WDYTYA? site was full of messages advertising shoes and other clothing items. After 2 or 3 weekends, they managed to stop it. We certainly do not want that here. Thanks again and keep up your good work for our benifit. Pete.

Adam had this problem on his site a few months ago. With a bit of luck they will get fed up and try their luck else where....not that I wish them on anyone!

Are we talking about the ones that have the porn links ?

By the names they were using to try and sign up with, there is every likelihood that there would be links to porn sites and God Knows what else!

Porn sites, "cheap" meds, you name it.

(you know those cheap meds that come out of certain countries where they don't give a rats ... what they put into them)
